Ezra Frech

Ezra is a para athlete, motivational speaker, and ambassador for adaptive sports, having competed in his first Paralympic games in 2020. He was born with congenital limb differences and is the youngest athlete to join Team Sanofi. On top of being a talented athlete, Ezra is also a committed advocate of access to sports for people living with disabilities.

Ezra’s first word was “ball” — he always loved sports. Growing up, he played basketball, baseball, soccer and practiced karate. He also  started track and field when he was eight years old. At the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships, he was the youngest athlete in the world to compete; competing in the high jump, long jump and the 100m. He was just 14. After competing in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where he finished 5th in High Jump and 8th in Long Jump, he is now training for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

His passion for sports ultimately led him to co-found Angel City Sports to help people living with disabilities ignite their potential through sports. The Foundation provides free, year-round access to sports training, equipment, and competitive opportunities for both children and adults living with physical disabilities. He co-founded the Angel City Games, an annual multi-sport competition for children, adults, veterans, and elite athletes with disabilities.

• Won gold in the Men’s High Jump T63 World Para Athletics Championships event in 2023 in Paris and world record holder.
• Won gold in the Men’s High Jump T63 World Para Junior Championships event in 2019 and bronze at the long jump and 100m event.
• Ranked 5th in the high jump event at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Paralympics, with a personal record of 1.80m and 8th in the long jump event, reaching a distance of 5.85m.
