Social Impact

Our commitment is to society.

Improving people's lives goes in and beyond our workplace.

Listening and collaborating to support better health outcomes

We know that participation and collaboration help people to live healthier lives. Our ongoing dialogue with a wide range of independent patient and healthcare organisations allows us to listen to and learn from their experiences and support their priorities. Given the grass roots nature of many patient groups, we're proud to support their work to help others within their communities.

Our commitment to transparency

Collaboration between industry, healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations is vital. It enables the development and effective use of new medicines and helps to shape the future of research.

The healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations and patient associations we work with at Sanofi all provide us with valuable, independent and expert knowledge derived from their clinical and disease management experience. Collaborating with experts contributes significantly to our efforts to improve the quality of patient care.

Environmental Sustainability and Resilience

We care for the planet by minimising the environmental impacts of our products and activities while strengthening our business resilience in the face of environmental changes.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Our vision is to reflect the diversity of our communities, unleash the full potential of our employees, and transform healthcare to be more inclusive and equitable. Because when we bring the best of our best selves every day, we can work miracles.

Reconciliation

Sanofi acknowledges the importance of reconciliation and is committed to working towards an Australia where all people have an equal voice.

Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan builds upon Sanofi’s long-standing commitment to hearing the voices, and seeking to improve the lives, of the people and communities it serves. It reinforces our existing commitments and extends our focus to improve First Nations economic participation. This includes action to improve representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned businesses within our supply chain and new strategies to improve recruitment and retention within our employee group.

We Volunteer

Sanofians across the company give back to the community. We know that achieving positive social impact depends on each of us doing our part.

Our commitment to support social and economic development of the communities where we operate is built through partnerships with local stakeholders and the contribution of employees on behalf of underserved populations and pursuing initiatives to inspire the next generation.

Every day at Sanofi, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. That reflects our commitme a better quality of life for people and communities around the world. Because we can do more and we want our people to have a purposeful experience, we are taking this mission to the next level with “We Volunteer,” our company-wide employee volunteering program.

Transfer of value

At Sanofi we also recognise the need to be transparent when it comes to how we work with healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations, and patient associations. We publish regular reports outlining transfers of value to these groups. Reports include payments of honoraria fees for services provided, air travel, accommodation or registration fees paid on behalf of a healthcare professional.

They also include the healthcare professional’s name, practice address, and the nature and amount of the transfer of value. In Australia, this information is disclosed on the Medicines Australia website. To comply with our privacy obligations, reports may be amended from time to time. The reports contain the most up to date information. Any use or disclosure of the data by a third party is the responsibility of that third party, who must comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
