Biogenius Grants

Through the Sanofi Biogenius Canada Grant, we’re improving access to hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning by supporting Canadian public high schools with annual financial grants to spark STEM inquiry. Whether it is updating lab equipment, launching new science programs or taking science education to the next level, our $50,000 grant helps schools champion that spirit of discovery when it comes to STEM.

Support to vulnerable communities

We partner with the United Way to fight for more inclusive and equitable communities, where everyone can thrive. This partnership gives us the gift of perspective while fostering a deep connection to people from all walks of life.

When emergencies strike, we recognize the importance of mobilizing our collective resources to respond swiftly with fundraising efforts. We are dedicated to partnering with the Red Cross and encourage donations to assist those affected with immediate and ongoing relief and recovery.

By matching dollar-for-dollar contributions made by employees to support the United Way and the Red Cross, we double our positive impact for those who need it the most.

We Volunteer

Our We Volunteer program allows our employees to do good for the communities we care about, develop strong and lasting relationships and learn and grow as individuals. The program connects employees with charitable organizations across Canada that need extra hands or expertise to deliver support to their communities.

Volunteer engagements can take the form of mentoring, preparing meals or sharing a valuable skillset.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Sanofi, globally, we want to reflect the diversity of our communities, unleashing our best selves every day to transform the practice of medicine.

By maximizing the power of difference, we create a culture where employees feel engaged, empowered, and included. Our workplace is a diverse and beautiful mosaic that welcomes, represents, and supports race, gender, ethnicity, age, physical ability, language, culture, religion, sexual orientation, education and nationality.

More importantly, through our DE&I Council, we continually cultivate and nurture a workplace that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion and recognizes collective differences.

Environmental Sustainability

We continue to care about environmental sustainability and recognize our responsibility to diminish our ecological footprint. A sustainability mindset is embedded across our governance and continues to be a top priority across the organization.

We are attuned to the fact that we all have a role to play in protecting the environment for generations to come. We are proud of our efforts that limit the effects of the company’s activities on the environment, including through water, waste, and energy management.

Some of our recent initiatives include:

Achieving a 90% diversion rate for re-use/recycle/recover and seeing less than 1% of our waste diverted to landfill.

Sponsoring offsite beehives as part of a Sanofi Planet Bee initiative to promote bees and other pollinators. Honey collected is sold to employees with all proceeds donated to charity.

A biodiversity initiative to protect a 30-acre area of G. Ross Lord Park adjacent to our Toronto Campus, including establishing baseline data on plant and tree species to monitor changes and potential areas of concern.

Sanofi Consumer Healthcare North America is Proud to be B Corp

Becoming a B Corp means we’re part of a community that’s transforming business into a force for good. It’s one of the most well respected – not to mention rigorous – certifications for an organization to earn, and a big step in our journey to champion better self-care for people, communities, and the planet.
