The know-how of our industrial teams, combined with the cutting-edge technologies of our production sites, have paved the way over the years, through our various sites, for local manufacturing at the service of Algerian patients for 22 years.
Our commitment has resulted in an increase in the manufacturing rate of Sanofi products available in Algeria to 74% by 2021, compared with 65% in previous years, and the establishment in Algeria of the largest pharmaceutical industrial complex in Africa.

Sanofi's industrial complex in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology cluster of the new town of Sidi Abdallah is the project that best sums up Sanofi's long-term commitment in Algeria alongside the Algerian authorities and public authorities, healthcare professionals and patients.
Inaugurated in 2018, it is one of the only sites in Algeria to combine production, warehousing and logistics on a single platform for greater customer satisfaction in terms of optimized logistics flows and time savings.
It is the largest pharmaceutical industrial site in Algeria in terms of geographical coverage, as it is located on a 6.6-hectare site, and because of its volumes, it will eventually be able to manufacture 85% of Sanofi's products locally, with 100 million units of various pharmaceutical specialties in different therapeutic areas.
